Drive, West Coast to Wanaka

This was the headline in one of the New Zealand newspapers this morning - "Group of 38 reach safety after being trapped by snow in Central Otago" - this was the area that Rebekah and David were heading to, so of course I was feeling concerned. I needn't have bothered, because as you will read here, once again nothing stood in their way and they had a great day.

"it is definitely getting cooler but nothing we aren't used to. :) Yesterday we stopped and did a lot of random hiking on our way south from the glaciers.  We walked to the face of Fox glacier, did Lake Matheson, a few waterfalls, and the blue pools.

"It was an amazing and breath taking adventure. Because we stopped so much, we ended up stopping for the night in Wanaka. We will finish our trek to Queenstown today. Tomorrow we are planning on going to Dart River and Friday Milford Sound"
