Covid-19 Vaccination no longer needed to enter New Zealand

Effective September 12, visitors from the USA no longer need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 before arriving in New Zealand. This is a huge boost for New Zealand tourism and we are already experiencing an increase in enquiries from potential new visitors. In fact, there are already concerns about rental car companies having sufficient vehicles to meet demand in the months January to March.

The New Zealand Government has announced that from midnight tonight (Monday September 12 2022) that they will remove the COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light system) along with several other previous requirements that affected travelers from the United States.

Here are the main changes announced today:

Incoming travelers will NOT be required to be vaccinated

There will be no compulsory Covid testing on arrival into New Zealand

Compulsory face mask requirements, except in healthcare facilities, will no longer apply
